About this calculator
Inland Revenue's formula assessment for child support uses both parents' income, the number of children, and the percentage of nights each parent provides care. This calculator gives a rough estimate using the simplified formula.

Frequently asked questions
Can the parents agree their own amount?
Yes — voluntary private agreements are valid. IRD assessment is the default if there's no agreement.
